Ken Morton

Ken Morton, born Kirkcaldy, Fife in 1973. Ken’s mad on football and has recently been introduced to STVV and to the fanclub through Don. Ken and Don share the same passion for football memorabilia, but while Don collects everything to do with football, Ken concentrates on programmes. In his collection he has over 10,000 different programmes stretching as far back as 1948. He has been buying and selling for over 20 years and has a vast knowledge of the game from all over the world. He has graduated in the last 4 years to edit a match programme for local side St Andrews Utd. He performs many duties at the club but mainly programme editor, DJ on matchdays and website editor. You might say a bit of a ‘Scottish’ Mario!

In his personal life he has a daughter Natasha who is 5 years old. He works in Dundee as a Finance Officer on a temporary basis but is looking for a more permanent move soon but still in finance. He says “within the next 2 years I hope to open my own publishing business specialising in football programme production, my St Andrews programme has won awards and with more than 20 years experience I feel the time is right to take my ambition to the next level”.

Having lived in various locations in the UK in his working life, he has found it difficult to follow just one team. However his favourites are Ross County, West Ham, Feyenoord, Marseille and of course now STVV.

Aside from football, Ken likes photography and music. Being football mad Ken likes to combine his photography with football and you will often see him with a camera or camcorder at a football match.

His musical taste is Trance and Techno. Growing up in the late 80’s and early 90’s he became fond of the early house music with the likes of Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig. He frequented many illegal open air parties/festivals in the early days and whilst living and working in London he became a fan of the Dutch ‘GABBA’ movement. He began to DJ this harder style of dance music but now prefers a much mellower side and loves Trance music. He loves the big name guys such as Tiesto, Armin Van Burrin and Paul Van Dyk but also heavily into Cosmic Gate, Sean Tyas, Richard Durand, Pascal Feliz and Marcel Woods.
