Fanclub History
The Scottish STVV Supporters' Club was founded on January 7, 2008, when it was officially recognised by the Federation of Supporters' Clubs of KSTVV. Actually, the seeds of our Fan Club were sown in 2003, when a certain Roy Dittrich came over to visit some friends in the Belgian village of Veulen. That village is close to the town of Sint-Truiden, which is the home of a Belgian premier league club. One day Roy and his friends passed the football ground of this club by accident. As a football fan, Roy looked for more information on this football club via the internet upon his return home and got in touch with the chairman of STVV Fan Club Grankanaria, Mario "Murphy?" Lelièvre. One thing led to another and a second visit to Staaien, the name of the STVV stadium, followed soon.
Roy wanted to see a game this time and brought his equally football-mad firen Donald "Don" Burnett along. These two friend came back to St-Truiden more often and brought more and other friends, including their mates Mark Sherriff and Andrew "Andy" Boyd. In the meantime, interest in a football weekend over in Belgium kept growing in St Andrews. This gave rise to the idea to start with their own Supporters' Club.

The chairman of Grankanaria, also the vice president of the Federation of Supporters' Clubs of KSTVV submitted the request to make the Scottish Supporters' Club official at a Federation meeting and the request was accepted unanimously. For an official recognition as Supporters' Club, each club needs to attend at least 70% of the Federation's meeting, which led to the integration of Belgian Kris "Krisaias" Vanmunster, one of our best friend on the continent, as a board member in th Scottish Supporters' Club.
On January 12, 2008, the Supporters' Club was officially presented and inaugurated in Sint-Truiden in the presence of all STVV Supporters' Clubs and the captain of the KSTVV football team, Peter Delorge. |

Rocky Peeters was selected as godfather of the supporters' club. Rocky is a KSTVV play with Scottish roots on his mother's side, who spent his childhood holidays in Scotland. |
